The National Tattoo Museum of New Zealand is a small, privately owned non-profit dedicated to the history of tattoo’ing in New Zealand, especially Maori traditional tattoo art known as “Ta Moko”.
Our collection features a mix of historical tattoo artifacts, tools, illustraitions and information on techniques and styles, from New Zealand and the surrounding Pacific/Melanesian and Micronesian areas.
Operating from New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington; we are open from 12pm everyday except Sunday.
